My 30 years’ experience as a corporate transactional lawyer and non-executive director / managing partner, spans a range of industries and business areas which inform my advice and consultancy services.

These are complemented by creative thinking, and pragmatic problem-solving.

Advising an international law firm on the strategic and operational review of one of its key practice areas.

This involved working in a small group of senior executives:

  • Reviewing strategy and business plans

  • Conducting, individual and group interviews

  • Identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the practice as well as its external and internal challenges

  • Formulating and delivering recommendation for improvement

  • Providing advice and support on implementing and agreed action plan.

Sale of Discrete Business Unit

Advising an international law firm on the proposed disposal of a discrete unit of its business in Hong Kong and China which resulted in the receipt of an indicative offer from an international private equity firm.

Consulting an international law firm and participating in its intensive 3-day residential program for the evaluation, review and skills training of its salaried partners.


How it works

After telling me a bit more about yourself, your business and project, we usually commence with a discovery call or meeting to be sure we’d like to work together.

From here, we work out a schedule that meets your needs and circumstances (whether on a regular basis or more focused around a particular work project, deadline or “crisis”). This usually involves identifying precisely what business challenge or commercial solution you want to work on.

David has played an integral role in enhancing our abilities as business owners and leaders.
Through his mentorship and coaching, we have become far more confident in our roles, substantially strengthened our decision-making process, significantly improved in terms of being more organised and critically, increased our capacity to communicate more effectively.
